CHADO, THE WAY OF TEA

Experience Japan's rich tea culture in the tranquil setting of the Seattle Japanese Garden Shoseian Teahouse. For tickets and reservations, please call the Seattle Japanese Garden at 206-684-4725.

CHADO DEMONSTRATIONS

Tea demonstrations last approximately 40 minutes. No reservations are required. Visitors can view the demonstrations from the patio at no charge. Visitors who would like to enjoy a bowl of tea and sweets can purchase a $5 tea ticket at the Garden ticket booth. Tea tickets are limited to 20 people per session. Shoseikai will host Chado demonstrations on the following 3rd Saturdays at 1 and 2 p.m.:

CHADO PRESENTATIONS

Experience a 40 minute tea presentation inside the Shoseian Teahouse. Tickets are $5 and we do require reservations. Visitors will be seated on tatami mats. Please avoid jeans, bare feet, rings, and personal fragrances.Tankokai will host Chado presentations on the following dates at 1 and 2 p.m.

	1 p.m. and 2:00 p.m.
APRIL-JUNE	4/28, 5/26, 6/23
JUL-SEPT	7/7 (Tanabata Festival), 9/29
OCT	10/27

Moon Viewing (8/17) chado presentations will be offered at 6:15 p.m., 7:15 p.m. and 8:15 p.m. Respect for Elders (9/15) chado presentations will be offered at 11 a.m., 1 p.m., and 2 p.m.
